Think on These Things

We as Christians say that we trust GOD, but do we really trust Him? It seems that we are constantly forgetting the daily grace, mercy and gifts He provides us each and every day. We wake each day as if it is by chance or of our own doing; it is not. The Lord has purposed us to wake up on this day, at this time, for His purpose. If only we could embrace Psalm 13:5-6 every morning, “But I have trusted in Your mercy; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation. I will sing to the LORD, Because He has dealt bountifully with me,” remember the gift, and be thankful. We can also remember that GOD tells us in Jeremiah 29:11 


“I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” He’s got us!
Psalm 35:5 says “Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will act.” Even knowing all of this we still find it hard to stay positive and thankful.
Our ultimate purpose in life is to praise and glorify GOD. Why? Because that is why He created us, for His good pleasure. Psalm 16:5-11 exclaims, 


“O LORD, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup; You maintain my lot. The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; Yes, I have a good inheritance. I will bless the LORD who has given me counsel; My heart also instructs me in the night seasons. I have set the LORD always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will rest in hope. For You will not leave my soul in Sheol, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption. You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy;At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”


Oh, if we could wake to and rest in this every day, then perhaps our conversations with one another and even ourselves would be more in line with Psalm 34:1-3, 


“I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its boast in the LORD; The humble shall hear of it and be glad. Oh, magnify the LORD with me, And let us exalt His name together.”


We are truly blessed and each day, each moment. We need to be thankful, trusting that the one true GOD, our GOD is working all things together for the GOOD (Romans 8:28). And that the GOOD work He has began in you He will bring to completion. Remember He says in Matthew 1:27-31, “Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops.  And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.  Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.”

God loves you and is with you. “He is a very present Help. Ps 46:1” 


God’s got whatever you face each day, and He has you too. Remember to praise Him often and always; He and He alone deserves our praise. 

“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.” Philippians 4:8



Daily Reflections for Spiritual Growth

 

We can never be Uninted with one another until we first be United to GOD. I have seen a lot of post speaking about one party or the other party and what each one is doing or not doing. GOD is not interested in a party but a people. A Party is something you join. People are what GOD is interested in, HIS creation, the people of GOD. GODs people are not ruled by political association but by obedience to the will of our Lord Jesus. GOD must always come before politics. In Mark 7 the Pharisees (Leaders) taught many traditions/practices that were so exclusive that even the parents of the persons following the practice were excluded from help. Jesus said you even give it a name, Corban Matt 7:9-13. They like us thought it must be right because the leaders taught it. And in following them they/we make the word of GOD of no effect.   

Are you before GOD daily seeking HIS face and HIS will in your life and praying for your enemies? No political party will solve any of the problems of the heart, only the word of GOD, the truth will. We need to heed to what scripture teaches, love God and love one another. If you are not yet a Christian this may not mean much to you, but if you are, don't allow fear, dought and others to cause you to dought that GOD is not aware of what is going on and is at work during this process. 

During these trying times it is of utmost importance to stay close to GOD. Don't let your mind wonder off of Godly things,  but instead:

"Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things." 

You may have already been drifting away. You may have found yourself with an attitude of complacency or empowerment. Both of theses are dangerous because theses attitudes could stop us as it stopped others in Luke 25:10-37 (The good Samaritan) from crossing the road and  helping someone because of their color, economic status, weight or political stance. We are Christians we are called to be greater because HE, Jesus is greater. Let's not let our flesh get in the way of kingdom work, making disciples (Matt 28). Matt 28 says to make disciples but also to teach to observe all things which Jesus hath commanded. 

Make sure what you are teaching in you statements and post represent Christ and Christian character. JESUS deserves more. 

We are not here to fight for HIM he doesn't need our help see  (Matt 26:53) but to expose HIM to the world. 

Let each of us align ourselves with the will of GOD and allow GOD to use our voices and actions to draw others to HIM and not divide.
