Do Not Do

 "DO NOT DO WHAT THEY DO" 

Matt 23:1-12

Then Jesus spoke to the multitudes and to His disciples, saying: “The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat.

Therefore, whatever they tell you to observe, that observe and do, but do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do.

For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. But all their works they do to be seen by men. 

They make their phylacteries broad and enlarge the borders of their garments. They love the best places at feasts, the best seats in the synagogues, greetings in the marketplaces, and to be called by men, ‘Rabbi, Rabbi.’ 

But you, do not be called ‘Rabbi’; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren. Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven. 

And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ. But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant. And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.

This is an example of how we are to do as our leaders requested (as long as it is in line with the commandments of GOD. But do not do as they do. Don't speak like them, don't act like them, don't emulate them. Don't Join them in tier folly (Foolishness).

We have one Father (Provider, protector, giver of life and sustainer of life) GOD. The leaders of this earth are looking for someone to worship them by dressing themselves in impressive ware (phylacteries broad and enlarge). They tell you they will save you, protect you even return you, but not to GOD but to themselves. There is only one who can do this for you, GOD through His Son and by the power of the Holy Spirit. And all of this by Faith.

"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."
Matt 11:28-29

" For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast."
Eph 2:8-9
