“Go and learn what this means”

"As Jesus passed on from there, He saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, “Follow Me.” So he arose and followed Him.

Now it happened, as Jesus sat at the table in the house, that behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with Him and His disciples. And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to His disciples, “Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”

When Jesus heard that, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. But go and learn what this means: 

‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice.’

For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”
Matthew 9:10-13

Our leaders today need to Learn what this means just as Jesus was trying to teach the leaders at this time. The message was and still is, He calls all to Himself. Not some but all. 

"Whosoever will let him come"
Rev 22:17. 

Those who are sick, sick emotionally, sick physically, sick finically, sick mentally, Sick Spiritually. All who are sick (and all are, even those who think they are not) need a physician. Someone to assist them in getting better. Those to treat them with CARE. 

Though our leaders and political parties are quick to call out and exclude the weak, those who are different in ethnicity, wealth, education, etc… 

And call them out to suppress and weaken rather than assist (edify) them. 

This is not Godly or new. The temperament of those who think and act in such a way is addressed in the passage above. 

If you claim to be His (God’s) first, not a party, not a fraternity, sorority, group or even nation (For He died to make us part of His kingdom, His body, there is no scriptural promise to make This Nation great or any of these other organizations we have made up and named, but to make a people for himself), then learn what this means 

“I desire mercy and not sacrifice”. 

Mercy is defined as:
“compassion or forgiveness shown toward someone whom it is within one's power to punish or harm:” 

Showing kindness to help others understand the wrong that was done and what is right, instead of Judgement with no help with the wrong they have done. Thus, using opportunity to exclude and to separate from and degrade them.

God said He desires mercy from us because this is what He has shown us. When we do so it shows we have recognized His great mercy which is new every morning and it shows we are truly learning of Him. 

Learning and living (becoming) like Him. 

His attribute of mercy now lives in and through us and blesses others even as He has blessed us. 

God desires this rather than sacrifice.

Sacrifice is defined as:
"an act of slaughtering an animal or person or surrendering a possession as an offering to God or to a divine or supernatural figure:"

Many instead of mercy, would rather sacrifice (Slaughter) the life or wellbeing of others then claim they are helping GOD make a better nation, a better people. 

So did the leaders during Jesus’ time. Doing so, even if it is for the denial of help in providing food, protection, shelter, ministry or even just kindness that would make the broken feel they could be or have always been accepted by GOD. He Loves them not their Sin.

God didn’t reject Cain, he rejected the offering Cain brought forth. Cain never offered what God desired, mercy, and it showed. That is why he killed his brother. He judged in his heart that Able's offering should have been no better (accepted) or even equal to his offering to GOD. When he couldn't have his way, he killed his brother.

Genesis 4:8

Don’t be like Cain!!!

Jesus came in the world for those who were not righteous, (All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God Romans 3:23), not for the righteous. And to call them to Repentance (to turn their thoughts, focus and hearts back to GOD). Which will prepare them to be forever with Him.

If you have been Saved? If you have truly accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior of your Life. You Should have the heart and the understanding through the power of the Holy Spirit He has promised, that lives inside you, to Share the message of Hope to all. Both Jew and Gentile, Rich and Poor. The Gift is to all who would believe. 

Make sure this is the message you, as a Christian, are taking to all of GOD's creation. Not the messages of this world but the message, The Gospel (euaggelion), The Good news.
